2D Video

2D video is the medium used most in the study of movement. At Terminus Performance Center, we use four high-speed video cameras with powerful indoor lighting to illuminate to golfer while they hit balls into the golf simulator. The camera angles are set up to show overhead video, down the line of the target and face view (or caddy view). The video system and computer program allows easy and quick monitoring of swing development. We use this system with greater frequency than the 3D systems simply for that reason.Golf lessons with Jon Tattersall are one hour in length, in the 2D video and golf simulator room we are able to assess distance control, shot dispersion and pitching technique and practice.

3D Swing Analysis

If 2D video is like an X Ray to a doctor, then 3D motion analysis is his MRI machine. 3D motion analysis allows us to measure a player’s rotational speeds and six degrees of movement (up/down, front/back/, side/side with rotation within these motions) in real time either at our facility or at remote locations. Terminus Performance Center has two systems, a AMM motion analysis magnetic system that can be used remotely at client events and the Motion Reality System (reflective marker system) located in the 3D lab at Terminus Performance Center. We are working with Motion Reality to develop a free motion system that will also be used in the physical assessment process.

Performance Planning (monitoring)

Performance planning takes golf coaching to a higher level, this service is provided exclusively to our Corporate Golf, VIP Golf and Performance Members.

Playing Lesson

Playing lessons are an integral part of any performance program. Relying on information from the player about the state of their game is simply not enough. For a coach seeing first hand how a player is implementing information and dealing with different situations on the course that cannot be simulated either on the practice tee or in the golf simulator is priceless. During a typical nine or eighteen hole playing lesson time is allotted for course strategy, shot selection, short game and monitor swing technique.

SAM Putt Lab

The SAM putt lab is a ultrasound system that measures how fast the putter is moving in the backswing and downswing, how the club face is aimed at address and impact, the rate of rotation of the club face during the stroke as well as how the putter is fitted to a player. We also measure (and adjust if necessary) the putter to match the players posture and putting stroke.

Events/Experiences

Jon and Todd have worked together providing corporate entertainment programs at PGA Tour sites, stand alone events and now at the Terminus Performance Center for the past eight years. Clients have found that Golf Performance Partners programs have added significantly to their customer’s hospitality experience. Services provided at events vary depending on the site location, number of clients and length of program. The AMM 3D motion analysis, force plates and SAM putt lab are all portable. Programs can be anything from one to four days in length.
